Who do you think you are?
Colossians 2:10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;
It does not matter what you have been through or called you are not that. Christ defines you now. You don’t identify with your past; you identify with who you are in Christ. You don’t identify with your past, experience, a family of origin, profession, but with Christ(Phil.3:8-9).
Many people identify with a traumatic experience and internalize negative emotions such as fear, anxiety, shame, guilt, and condemnation. The problem is many people internalize these emotions and make them into an identity. There are people that due to low self-esteem will call themselves “people pleasers.” Or, anxious or distrusting.
Knowing who you are is important as it does determine how you see your future. This is why it is important to know anyone in Christ is a new creation and is not held back by limitations(2Corinth5:17). A Christian has no more yesterday’s only tomorrows. Therefore, a Christian does not have limitations because he is to now identify as a new spiritual being. What you believe yourself to determine how you behave. See yourself as more than a conqueror(Romans8:37). And, start living a new successful, and fulfilling life today.
My Prayer: Father give me the grace to identify with you to believe that you are sufficient wherever I am deficient
