Accountability is the true way to express you care.
Anyone defending bad behavior does not care about the person they are defending. Caring is demonstrated by keeping people accountable, not enabling them to be irresponsible. This is because accountability helps people grow and be the best they can be! The Army’s mantra is "be all you can be!" How do they do it? By commanding officers keeping those under their command, accountable through correction and discipline. Next time that you are inclined to defend someone’s ego, ask yourself “Am I helping them become better or worst!”
